What can you Recycle?
Mixed paper, newspapers with inserts, junk mail
Magazines, phone books
Paperboard (like cereal boxes)
Corrugated cardboard
Plastic bottles and containers (that have the number 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 in the triangular recycling symbol)
Aluminum cans, foil and pans (rinsed and food residue removed)
Steel cans and lids (rinsed)
Glass bottles and jars, all colors (rinsed)
Empty aerosol cans (NO paint cans)
Wide-mouth plastic containers and lids
Rigid plastic containers and small hard plastic toys
Milk and juice cartons and boxes
Cereal and food boxes
Spiral paper cans (with plastic lids detached)
Not accepted for curbside recycling:
- Shredded Paper
- Styrofoam cups, plates, or take-out containers.
- Cardboard food containers, like pizza boxes, with food residue
- Plastic bags or plastic wrap
- Batteries
- Cookware, dishes, light bulbs
- Hardback books, foil coated food containers or wax coated food containers
- Hazardous wastes like motor oil, household cleaners, pesticides, paint cans
- Any soiled waste (personal hygiene pads and tissues, baby diapers, etc. Dispose of these in your trash cart.)
